| Leia A. Frickey, M.D. |
Dr. Leia Frickey is an expert in the field of bariatrics, the
medical treatment of obesity and weight loss, and has been
practicing weight-loss medicine for the past 10 years.
Dr. Frickey is an active member of the Ochsner Fellows Alumni
Association and has been associated with the College of
American Pathology and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Frickey graduated from Louisiana State University Medical
Center in New Orleans. She is a pathologist, having
completed her training as a Pediatric Pathology Fellow at
Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. She has had training in
Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical
Science Center and has been published in the journal Modern
Pathology. She is ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)- and
BLS (Basic Life Support)-certified.
