1.      Are there any side effects from our appetite suppressants?
Very few people experience side effects.  The most common effects last 2-3
days and may include dry mouth, a jittery feeling, insomnia, or mild headache.
Taking the medication as directed can minimize side effects.

2.
Are our appetite suppressants safe?
The appetite suppressants we use have been around for about 30 years, are
FDA-approved, and have an excellent safety record.

3.       Will our appetite suppressants show up in a drug test?
Not normally.  Most drug tests look for illegal drugs, and appetite suppressants
    are not illegal.

4.
Can I take the appetite suppressants even though I’m taking other
          medicine?
Generally, yes, unless you are taking lithium or an MAO medicine.  Please feel
free to call  Dr. Frickey if you have any questions.

5.
Why do we offer you multivitamins?
Research has clearly shown that people losing weight become deficient in
certain vitamins and minerals.  As part of our program, you may purchase a month’s
supply of a quality multivitamin to keep the correct levels of vitamins and minerals in
    your body.

6.
How much weight may I expect to lose per month with Advantage?
Most patients lose on the average between 2-3 pounds a week, but some
patients can lose up to 10% of their body weight in one month depending on their
    weight and metabolism.

7.
I’m going to the gym.  Why can’t I lose weight?
We will teach you that muscle is heavier than fat. This is why a measurement of
muscle mass on our body-composition scale is recommended.

8.
Can I be on the program if I have high blood pressure or diabetes?
Yes, if blood pressure is well controlled, one of the main treatments for high
blood pressure and diabetes is to lose weight.  For any other preexisting conditions,
Dr. Frickey will ensure your treatment is safe and effective.

9.
Do insurance programs cover weight loss?
Not often.  However, we will provide you with a prescription to fill on your drug
plan at no additional cost.  Each insurance policy is different and should be
checked individually to ascertain if doctor consultations and/or medications are
    covered.
